Day 163 -- The Long Awaited Trip with Weston

Today I drove to Flower Mound to hook up with my oldest grandson Weston as we begin our trip to Virginia tomorrow morning.  We are both so excited about the trip--and having each other to ourselves!  

Here's out itinerary:  

Colonial Williamsburg for two full days (and we have a third day ticket if we want to go a 3rd day)

Yorktown Battlefield

Monticello tour

Jamestown tour

This trip is for Weston's 12th birthday in November, but I felt it would be too cold to enjoy Williamsburg by then so we are taking it a month early.  I started this tradition with Ruth when we took her to New York City when she was 12.  Now I am already dreaming about what the three other grandsons may end up doing on their trip!  My hope is that these will be memories they will never forget of time spent with Nana--I know I won't forget them!
