Day 155 -- Taking mother home and other news
Today after my Bible study, mother and I left to take her back to Haskell. She has done very well at our house for 11 and a half days, but she was ready for the familiarity that only your own home can bring. We made it to Haskell without incident other than getting a text from my cousin saying that hospice had told them to call the family in--that was about 4:00 or a little before--and we were in Comanche stretching our legs at the time. So we still had two hours to travel to get her home. Not 30 minutes after we got to her house, Danny got a call that our uncle had died. Wow--3 men in the older generation of the Wainscott clan died within 2 months and 3 days. That is just too much to take in almost. The good thing about it is that all three lived such good and long lives--Dad at 91, Uncle David at 91, short by only a few days, and Uncle Jack 88. They were all good men and will be so missed in the family.
