Day 157 -- Taking my aunt to lunch
Today on my way home from Haskell, I stopped in Abilene and picked up my Aunt Peggy and took her out to lunch. How can it be that this is a first--I have never taken her to lunch before! I have ridden on Amtrak for 28 hours with her to get to Joliet, Illinois, and have many other adventures with her--but never just a lunch where we could simply talk. It was such fun to have her to myself for a little bit--she is what I hope my nephews will think of me as an aunt--fun-loving, good listener, understanding, non-judgmental, and full of love. Thanks for teaching me how to be an aunt, Aunt Peggy. Love you bunches!
