Day 69 -- Selling Houses
Today I had a client from Abilene who came to town to buy a new house. I've never sold new subdivision builder homes so this was a great learning experience for me. Luckily she knew exactly what she wanted and exactly what her budget was, and it was a pleasant experience for both of us. We looked at maybe 8-10 houses total, and she was done--picked out what she wanted and what changes she wanted, and which lot she wanted, and that was that. It is interesting the people you run in to who know someone you know. She is best friends with Kim Griffith Cheek, Dan and Earlene's oldest daughter. They attend the same church and Kim taught her kids at Wylie. Having something in common with a client opens up so many doors to working with them. She has 18 year old twins starting A&M in August so I told her I could tell her the fastest routes from Temple to College Station!
