Day 201 -- CASA case
Today we had a hearing on the only CASA case I am now handling to see if the mother could have visits with her youngest child being supervised by her estranged husband. I thought this was really a bad idea because the physical fights the two parents had with each other is one reason the children went in to care. However, I was overruled by the judge on my concerns so supervision by the husband is going forward. I never cease to be amazed at the extremes between severity and laxity in the CPS and judicial system sometimes.
