Day 129 -- Hospital Blues
After a 13 hour stint in the ER, Bill was admitted to the hospital today. Diagnosis was a very large hematoma on his right hip and buttock caused from a bleed after having an injection in his right hip for pain a week ago. Wait--I'm seeing this man in more pain than I have ever seen him in during our entire time together--and it was caused by a injection to take care of pain? That is the oxymoron of this hospital stay. He goes to a pain clinic to get relief from pain and ends up in more pain than he has ever been in. Who would have ever imagined such a thing--certainly he wouldn't have or he would have lived with the pain he had, instead of the pain he has.
