As you know I have been going to a trainer for several years, and I can clearly see that I am much stronger than I was when I started. Today was a new first for me at my training session. Kathy, my trainer, decided it was time for me to make the move from individual hand weights to the big one with the pole and weights on each side (I have no idea what those things are called!) So we started with just dead lifts, which means bending down and picking up the weight and standing with it. This must be done with successive weights until I can get all the stances exactly right so as not to hurt my back. Then she will have me go overhead with them at some point. Anyway, here are pictures of me dead lifting 65 pounds. She said I could do at least 100 but she wants me to keep working on my form a little more. Anyway, I look like a dork, but feel like Wonder Woman!
