Day 35 - Baby Shower

Today I was honored to be invited to one of my former student's baby shower for her first baby.  I can't remember being invited to any other student's baby shower in my 29 years of teaching--some weddings but no baby showers.  This girl is the 3rd of 4 sisters whom I taught in Academy, and I taught with their mother.  I have also been privileged to sell two of the sisters homes--this one whose shower was today has bought two homes from me and sold one.  It is such a joy to see any of my former students doing well as adults.  All but the youngest of the girls were in my AP English classes so I got to have them for two years.  The youngest didn't get to me before I retired.  But they are absolutely the cream of the crop, and I so enjoyed getting to see them and their mother and a few other former colleagues from Academy at the shower.

From left to right:
Margaret (mother of 4, 3 of which are triplets)
Christina (youngest and no children yet)
Cynthia (whose shower it was)
Elizabeth (oldest with 4 children)
Cynthia and Elizabeth are both teachers as well
These are the daughters of the farmer that Cody worked for when he was living in Temple between assignments with the DOD.
