1. After breakfast, watched the live stream of our church service in my pjs before getting dressed to face the chores of the day. I love that TBC is finally live streaming their services so that on days like today, we don't miss although not present in person, and so that when out-of-town I can watch it and so that people in our congregation who have a hard time getting there can now see it from home.
2. Cleaned out years of leaves in backyard flowerbeds and planted rosebushes, mesquite plants and mulched.
3. Harvested figs for the first time--our fig trees are loaded this year so I'm going to learn to make fig preserves. Many of the branches on these trees are out of reach so I may get a pool net and see if I can reach out to them and get them to fall in the net!
4. Made a trip home to get some yard items and some things from HEB. I had to switch to pickup for hauling the mulch, leaf blower and chain saw from home and things I got at HEB, and two bad first things happened during this trip--I lost my credit card I suppose in the HEB parking lot on the way back to the pickup with my load, and I turned a corner too sharp for that long pickup and scrapped it against a stone wall on the right side, taking paint as I did so. I did not take photos of these two issues, but did cancel my credit card which will now require me to remember all the online places I have that I have the credit card number for auto pays.
5. After cleaning up my mess from all the flower bed work, I installed a red-neck hot tub or cool tub, whichever is needed at the time. Didn't get to use it because it kept raining on and off.
6. I bought an umbrella and stand to put on our table and chairs out at the lake so that rain or shine, we can better use the table. Also some cute pillows for the swing. And some metal flowers and a gecko--these are the only flowers I can guarantee won't die during the summer!
7. Got the living area and kitchen back mostly to its former state before I moved everything out last month. Did add a recliner to the mix to entice Bill to come to the lake more often.
8. Added a little wildlife viewing area.
9. And last, but not least, added a washer and dryer!
