Day 223--Final Concert of the Season

Tonight was our final Christmas concert of this season.  This has been a wonderful experience and I expect to have many more years of doing this, but I want to express my thankfulness in finally being back in a choir, singing harmony with so many fine voices, and having a very dedicated director who expects excellence from us in all that we do.  We have a 3 week break, and then practices begin on Jan. 8 for the 6-7 spring concerts we already have booked.  We are expecting to have one orchestrated spring concert on April 29 (a Sunday) and the rest with be with piano.  God has blessed me with being a part of this group--in what other circumstances could I have gotten to renew my joy of singing, playing the piano, stretching myself to learn lots of songs by memory (words and notes!),  practicing every day which in turn translated to praising God every day with wonderful scripture-based songs and making new friends and performing in beautiful churches with an orchestra, which was a new experience for me.  I am blessed!
