Today my grandson Clay turned 6. He chose to go to Dinosaur World in Glen Rose for his party so I met he and the family there and boy did we see some dinosaurs! I had been to the state park in Glen Rose but had not been to this great jewel of a children's park very near the state park. We saw all kinds of dinosaur models in fairly natural settings, the kids got to search for fossils at a couple of the exhibits, and then they played in the dinosaur-themed playgrounds. The museum there has great exhibits that children can appreciate as well as animatron dinosaurs to give a realistic edge to the experience. After a morning of looking and playing, we had a great picnic lunch on the property before heading back to Flower Mound. I would recommend this park to anyone who has children who are fascinated by dinosaurs--well done and a fun time for everyone. Glad I got to share this first with my sweet Watts grandchildren and especially Clay on his special 6th birthday!
Another first for me on this day was seeing my four Watts grandchildren all dressed in formal wear. They are going on a cruise to Alaska and there are two formal meals so the kids all wanted to really dress for the dinners--and so the boys now all have their own tuxes and my sweet baby girl has transformed herself into a beautiful young lady in her lovely formal. Jeff, you better take a bat to run the young men off when she walks in the room!!
Wish we could've been there too!
