In today's local newspaper, the food section had a recipe for a Reuben Pizza. My husband and I love Reuben sandwiches so I decided this was a pizza I should try to make--from scratch! Pizza has always been a bit like fried chicken to me--why mess up the kitchen making it from scratch when so many places make such good ones! But today was in need of a "first" so I made my short grocery list before I headed out to the office this morning and when I left this afternoon stopped in for sauerkraut Gruyere cheese and corned beef. The pizza was delicious and I'm really mad I didn't remember to take a photo of it for this post so you could see for yourselves! I'll get the hang of documenting what I'm doing one of these days--it's still early in the game. Here's the picture from the newspaper--but mine was more loaded a little more. Dill pickle rounds and the sauce is drizzled on the top to keep the crust from getting soggy. Anyway, we both really liked it and would have it again. If you are interested in the recipe, let me know and I'll send it to you.
